- We have to change the programme for July, following the move to Level 4 Covid regulations. The group of Hermanus residents who would have spoken to us on 19 July will be unable to meet to prepare for the meeting and would prefer to make their input at a live meeting of members. So we hope to reschedule the group for later in the year. The Committee is searching for a speaker for the meeting on 19 July and we will let you know as soon as details are available. This will be a Zoom platform meeting.
- In terms of a new Act regarding ‘unsolicited emails’, organisations can no longer assume that members are willing to receive emails and administrators need to secure the agreement of each member that he/she is willing to receive emails. However, it appears that members who have been receiving emails need only act if they no longer wish to receive them. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO RECEIVE EMAILS FROM THE HERMANUS HISTORY SOCIETY PLEASE INFORM ROBIN LEE, AS THE SECRETARY, BY REPLYING TO THIS EMAIL AND WE WILL NO LONGER SEND THEM.
- The videos of presentations about Hermanus history continue to be viewed extensively on YouTube. Here are the latest figures for views:

- Child hood Memories of Bechuanaland in the 1950s: 164 views
- History of the Jewish Community in Hermanus: 458 views
